Bakugan Battle Gear New Series
Among the new and exciting additions to the 3rd installment of the Bakugan series will be the Bakugan Battle Gear. It’s actually a new weapon for your Bakugan, and behaves as a support in the brawls just like a Bakugan Trap. They take the form of guns, weaponed wings, cannons, and much more when opened. When in their closed form, they take different forms from the usual Bakugan balls, as they are shaped as anything other than a ball.
Aside from having different closed and open forms from the usual Bakugan, the bakugan battle gears also have a different set of attributes. The rest of the Bakugan go together with the main set of attributes, Darkus (black/darkness), Aquos (blue/water), Ventus (green/wind), Pyrus (red/fire), Subterra (brown/land), Haos (white/light). The Bakugan Battle Gear go with only three attributes: Gold, Silver, and Copper. Despite having only three attributes, the gears still go by exactly the same colors as that of the six main attributes of the Bakugan.
Choosing Bakugan Battle Gear
You must choose your bakugan battle gear first before even playing in a brawl. The main rule for the brawler when using it is that she or he are only able to use up to 2 supports. So it’ll be either two battle gears, two traps, or one of each. More than two would be out of bounds of the rules in brawling.
In choosing their main gear, brawlers would usually go for the one with the highest G-power level. Picking a gear which fits along with your Bakugan’s attribute is also a great way to pick out your choice, it doesn’t matter how much its G-power is. Pair up a Ventus Bakugan with a green battle gear like the Battle Turbine, for example, or a Pyrus Bakugan with a red one like the Jetkor.
Of course, you can even combine your Bakugan battle gear with two different attributes, with the help of the special abilities on the Battle Gear Reference Cards. This plan lets you be flexible in brawling so it is also used often by many brawlers.
Using Your Bakugan Battle Gear In a Brawl
You use the bakugan battle gears by opening it on a Gate Card or putting it on the back of a Core Bakugan. You can find Bakugan with handles on the back to hold the gear on their backs. For the Bakugan without these handles, such as the Bakugan from the past series (season 1 and New Vestroia Bakugan), it is possible to just use the Gate Card to open them and use them in the brawl.
Don’t forget about theBakugan Battle Gear Reference Card, too. It’s a card that is included with the Bakugan pack with the gear. It’s not necessary to use the Reference Card all the time. But you can use it to improve your Bakugan with G-powers and also have additional abilities. More hints of strategy for a brawl using this new addition are included in the Gameplay FAQ of the game.
Given the differences of the Bakugan Battle Gear from the Core Bakugan and the rest, it would only be natural that there would be a different set of rules in using the former in a brawl. The main difference is only small, however. Ultimately, the most crucial point is because they function like the Bakugan Trap, plus they are moved around the game similar to the regular Bakugan battle gear.
